Friends of Save the Laurel View River,
We are a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization that depends solely on your tax-deductible donations to keep our mission of protecting our rivers. The mission of Save the Laurel View River, Inc. is to conduct activities that protect the health of the tidal basin from Isle of Wight to St. Catherine’s Sound, including the predominantly saltwater ecosystem therein containing all forms of marine life, such as, but not limited to, shellfish, fish, dolphins, birds, plant life, and related species.
The corporation shall undertake actions designed to inform state and local officials and agencies, as well as the general public, of the dangers to the tidal basin resulting from discharging large quantities of fresh-water effluent, containing phosphorus, nitrites, trace metals, antibiotics, pesticides, hormones, and other chemical compounds into the predominantly salt-water tidal basin.
Marine life could be killed, and the tidal basin could be made unsafe for swimming, fishing, and similar activities that enhance the beauty and value of properties along the waterways in the tidal basin in Liberty and Bryan Counties. The corporation may also respond to potential dangers to the tidal basin other than the Tradeport East wastewater facility. We greatly appreciate your generosity to Save the Laurel View River.
